Writing has always been a way for me to “hear” what my heart has to tell me. I have kept a journal since the time I was a young girl and hid it from the prying eyes of my older brother. It is not surprising that when confronted with breast cancer – twice – I turned to writing as a way to cope with not only the current circumstances, but to craft a means of helping to heal myself and create my New Normal. Each chapter is followed by writing prompts to help the reader to begin to tell their own story.
